Arrêt prématuré / Early ending

La cavale a malheureusement dû prendre fin. Les chevaux ont eut peur d'un grand arroseur à maïs et je suis descendue de cheval pour les rassurer. L'un d'eux a fait demi-tour au galop, ils se sont échappés ensemble.
Après les avoir rattrapés, nous avons rapatrié toute l'équipe chez mes parents, retour au point de départ.
Je soigne la jument blessée et réfléchis à de futurs projets professionnels, agricoles et voyageurs.

Je garde en souvenir le très bon accueil reçu en arrivant un soir à l'élevage du Plec. Hervé m'a chaleureusement accueilli avec ses amis et sa famille :

The ride had sadly to stop. The horses got scared with a huge sprinkler in a cornfield so I rode down to reassure them. One of them bolted and both horses ran away. After catching them again, we took all the team back to my parents' home.
I'm taking care of the injured mare and thinking about new plans, professional, travel and farming projects.

I'm keeping in mind the great welcome I received while arriving at the 'Plec' Connemara Stud. Herve, his friends and his family welcomed me warmly.

Il a fait chaud ces premières journées... et les routes dans les Landes sont longues, toutes droites...

The weather was beautiful but very hot these first days! And the roads in the forest are so long and straight...

Chien secouriste / rescue dog

Et oui, un chien ça peut remplir plusieurs fonctions !
En plus de lave-vaisselle d'appoint et poubelle de table, un chien ça fait la garde et tient compagnie. Certes.
Mais en cherchant un peu, un chien peut se transformer en top-modèle d'Alerte à Malibu ou en maître-nageur. La preuve ?

Yes, a dog is multi-task. More than an extra-dishwasher and a table-top trash can, a dog gards, protects and keeps company. Ok.
But when you look closer, a dog may be a lifeguard. Needs a proof?

En enfilant le déguisement complet, ça ressemble plus à un chien secouriste en montagne :

After putting on the whole disguise, it looks more like a moutain rescue dog:

Autrement dit, Hudson le chien porte ses propres bagages avec ses sacoches pour chien !

In other words, Hudson the dog is carrying his own luggages, with smal doggy bags!

(rassurez-vous, aucun animal n'a été surchargé pendant le tournage et les chevaux ont fait preuve de patience envers le dresseur :))

Bénédiction / Blessing

Élément important de ma randonnée, la bénédiction des chevaux ! Après tout, ils vont vaillamment me (sup) porter pendant cette année à venir, et parfois ma vie sera peut-être entre leurs sabots !

Le prêtre est donc venu samedi soir les bénir. De quoi partir sur le bon pied !

Significant component of my trek, the blessing of the horses ! After all, they are going to support me, cope with me and even carry me during this year to come, and sometime they might hold my life in their hooves !

The priest came on Saturday evening to bless the horses. Let's start off on the right foot !
